A growing number of fraudulent websites scrape product images and copy from legitimate Patagonia sites to create pages that look convincing. These sites are run by scammers who will charge your card and either send nothing, send counterfeit product, or ship something completely unrelated. Other Red Flags to Watch For

The discount looks too good to be true. Patagonia products are sold at consistent MSRP across all authorized retailers — including us. Deep discounts on "new" Patagonia gear are a reliable sign something is wrong.

The contact email is a personal account. Legitimate retailers use corporate email addresses. If the only way to reach a seller is through a Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo address, that's a warning sign.

Policies are vague, poorly written, or don't make sense. Scam sites often have shipping and return policies that are either copied sloppily or deliberately confusing.
